A Fresh Start.

What a wild ride this last 10+ Years have been. I started this out of passion, I followed that passion to the point of breaking point & through nothing but love for this community & what we stand for. We are back where we started.

I’ve made a YouTube video explaining what happened & What’s to come but I wanted to put my thoughts into words for everyone who was here because we started as a blog.

Road trip to the Highlands just before the first lockdown. Not much said on this, but I will explain soon.

As media moves forward, the big dogs are now the small fry where as Video as a medium is insane. I’ve tried it all, my love for Photography is still strong & but my love for Video is even more so. I see it as a method of time travel, one you can log into that period of time at any point & see exactly what is happening. its so odd when you think about it, imagine showing this to someone in the 1700s ? theyd think you were a witch! But here we are.

6TWO1 got complicated. When I initially extended the website into a car parts store, i actually got threats from fellow car shop owners in the UK id done free photography for & free advertising on my platform that was averaging about 10000 views on the blogs per day. Some days we saw heights of 25000s a day per post, which was, fucking mental!

This moved forward into parts manufacturing. What an experience this was to learn, finding out all the behind the scenes tricks that a lot of brands use to siphon money from you for no real reason. We were small fishes in the ocean on this one but we did a lot and had a lot of fun. Just a shame it never ended up being how I had invisioned but, I think I put my trust in the wrong areas & focused time on the wrong side of business, I needed to add big brains to the business, but instead I went harder on the social route. Lesson learnt.

10th December 2009 was when i first registered the 6TWO1 Domain as a name & I never, in my wildest dreams would have thought I would have had the experience with it I’ve had. I feel so grateful, I’ve had the whole spectrum highs & lows. Support and Hate. Financial success & financial stress. Its been a very wild ride, but its bought me to here, the right now, where im in the fortunate position to not actually need to do this anymore. I can do this purely out of love for cars, for the people & for the lifestyle it brings us.

So what’s to come from 6TWO1 now it has downsized?

Quality.

This is a true blessing. I want our clothing line not to feel like merch, but to transform into a streetwear brand, I want to bring quality photoshoots to the site. Car features back to the blog & to our YouTube together. Its going to be a lot of work, but I’ve already sourced our next clothing supplier who want to be partnered with us for the future, I’ve been sorting suppliers for accessories & garage wall art. I’m excited again about this brand, I really am. Its been a hard mental battle over the last few years but that battle has meant that we can focus on the quality & the community. Oh, and for it to be personal, now I’m not trying to sell car parts i can say whatever the fuck I want again on here & mean it without the fear it may affect .

That is what we are aiming for.
