The M3 Suffered …

So My E92 M3 has been a quiet lurker in the lineup as, for me It was never bought for any other reason than it was my dream car - It was also never bought to see a track of any sort, yes i know the M3 is made for the circuit but i bought mine as a road car, a weekend car to enjoy & one to maintain …. well fast forward to now, its been on the track 3 times & every time its been the Nürburgring. Talk about learning through fire!

I recently got back to the Ring for a bit of a last minute trip a few weeks back but on the way to Germany my M3 suffered the most!

Outside where I will be staying at Nürburgring forever more, The Pheonix !

Perfection

First off, I lost an exhaust tip!!

I honestly had no idea, all i know is it was in the pictures of the night before when i cleaned it and when i got to the airfield in germany it wasnt there! One of the most stupid expensive part yeets I’ve ever had! Im deciding what to do, do I pay out for a singular tip or do i grab an aftermarket exhaust for it down the line? I just hate how embarrassing it looks right now ! Im open to advice from fellow M3 owners on what they use exhaust wise, or if I visit an exhaust shop and get a custom one done.

Secondly, i started hearing what i can describe as a whirring noise, it started lightly but by the end of the journey, my word it was loud! I couldnt believe it as this car is 100% all of the time until it gets to the ring it seems, but It didnt phase me.

After doing 4 very successful, adrenaline pumping laps, the noise got much worse. I had Jamie Harmer, father of Pro drifter Archie Harmer riding passenger with me and he heard it loud and clear too, which made me happy really as I thought I was just hearing things !

I’m dropping it off today at a BMW specialist to try diagnose for me, then from that I will update you guys on what it is. Driving me insane i have to be honest !

This trip was important though. & like i said it wasn’t ever meant to see the track, im so buzzing that I got to get some awesome Ring laps in it. Memories ill have forever, but some stuff is coming & I’ll explain more in another post once the 350z finally sells…
