Mildly Interesting Cars of London - December 23 meet

There’s this instagram page Called Mildly interesting cars of London, I love it. It’s a couple of fellas in London who just post, well, mildly interesting cars. Sometimes they get to go above and beyond and interview the owners of certain cars. It’s my favourite account on there at the minute I have to admit, I love it. Especially when they get an old boy on there who’s had his car for years and just loves it. I hope that il be that chap one day

I saw that they had posted on their story they were doing a car meet and to hit them up if you wanted to attend. I have to be upfront, this chrimstas period I have become a slob, I think the end o this year was so chaotic mixed with so much travel, I just wanted to sit and play video games and forget the world for a bit. But after a week of doing that, Thank god for the tarkov wipe - I decided to shoot my shot and ask if I could come a long, I got the all clear & a post code to meet at, in central London!

I am in a great position with the cars I have right now and had to decide which to take, do I take the Clio? That’s kind of interesting I guess, or just bomb up in the daily x5 and hide it and walk to the event, realistically there was one car I wanted to take, that I need to talk bout soon, my m3. The car is back from paint & being repaired mechanically too, I have barely used it this year now so I thought that’s going! Not to mention its had so much work done, i just need to go shoot it so i can explain everything! And to be fair, it’s mildly interesting to some I guess.

So I live around 60 miles from Central London, getting to London is usually fine but currently the A12 has so many bits of roadworks, nightmare. So the journey in took me about 2 hours. which is about right for now I guess. Swinging into Pall Mall was, such a cool experience. I have no idea why I dont head up to London more to be fair, its so close.

After parking up. @S222JPN came up and said hello, we follow each other on instagram and id followed him into London so was nice to be greeted by someone instantly, followed by 2 absolute gents in a Passat R36 estate.

That kind of set the tone for me, I havn’t been to a car meet in a long time, I cant actually remember. Everything nowadays seems to be a pay to go exclusive type thing. This was just what the doctor ordered for me.

The selection of cars was brilliant. For someone like myself that has evolved as I’ve grown and my taste is now very varied compared to what it used to be 10 years ago, it was class. Just so many different cars to be seen!

This 7 Series was one of my 3 favourite cars from the event, I couldn’t choose between 3 of them, so ill show them now. But first this 7 Series was just brilliant, a Japanese import, Beautiful condition. Huge AC Schnitzer split wheels, i really loved it.

Secondly this Mercedes SL. What a thing, full AMG kit, wide body, huge Split amg wheels. it looked so so good in Central. I loved this too

Finally this 911 GT3. I know the picture is black and white, the lighting was so hard to take anything on the Camera but this was a dark metallic Blue, with brown inserts on the bucket seats, check the youtube video here for more information. I wanted to take it home.

Overall it was quality, the cars were brilliant, the people brilliant. I loved it and cannot wait for more! Sunday im off to another car event so looking forward to that now, going to take the clio!

Thank you again for checking the blog, if you have some spare time tune into the video!
