Man time goes so fast. I wanted to log back in as I’ve just got back from a work trip to China for the family business & all I can think about is building my car, getting 6TWO1 going again & really focusing in on this as not just a passion project but what I want to have in my life.
I hope that you all had a wonderful christmas holiday and happy new year, I have come back rejuvenated, ready to go again and to see what this year can bring.
The above photo popped up on my facebook memories today & It just gave me the chills, I cant believe time goes so fast. That is 9 Years ago. 9!! Funnily enough, 9 years on my Civic is having the engine taken out this month ! stay tuned to that over on my Youtube, as that series is going to be seriously fun.
It also made me think how utterly beautiful i think DC5’s are. I would absolutely love to have a 4th one come into my life at some point. Who knows where this journey will take me but I hope by leaning back into cars, I can find the justification for one. When i was younger my least favourite colour the DC5 came in was blue, but now every time I see a blue on blue one come up for sale I try do the man maths? Is there something wrong with me? Who knows. Lets see how this year goes over on the Socials. I am dead set on bringing 6TWO1 back. The Blog, the Youtube Channel doing feature videos, meets & events. The whole catalog.
Ill be holding my self very accountable, Its taken a while to get over the last attempt but I am fresh faced and bald headed enough to know its on me and only me going forward.
One thing that really made me think this chapter of my life isnt over, or is ready to be written in a new way is our meets. I hosted 2 6TWO1 meets towards the end of last year and was blown away by the amount of people who came, who said how much they enjoyed it. But I enjoyed it, a lot. I went home thinking “Was this what has been missing from my life over the last few years? That sense of community?” And Its stuck with me.
Im Jetlagged, im tired but i am ready for 2026, and everything that may come with it. Excuse my grammar its never been my strong suit.
I dont know what the future holds, but I know whatever it is, im going to give it my best shot.
