Its Finally Sold.

After nearly 7 Months of trying, I have finally sold my 350Z Drift Car. I have to say this feels bitter sweet, I really enjoyed driving the car when given the chance but geographically, drifting around our way is sparce and the car ended up sat doing a whole lot of nothing for a long time.

So what happens now? Is drifting & 6two1 finally over? are the Honda days making a return ? lets dive in.

First off I want to say I too a fat L On this car, I officially took less money for the whole build than what I originally bought the car for, and much less than the money I invested in it. But thats cars, you dont always win and I wanted to move forward.

I honestly thought I was going to be using it all winter at Santa Pod but the car had a few issues & I ended up entering the KD Kustoms event instead which was AWESOME. I have no regrets on that and I’m fairly sure ill be back in that at some point too - but after only 3 drift events in a year and a half I attended & One of those being a complete flop as the car was wildly underprepared (once again that falls on me) I decided the money could be better used.

I had hoped for around £8000 for the car, Id put about that into it + the nearly 6000£ to buy it. But I took no where near that to sell it, infact I made a low ball offer on myself to a friend over in ireland whos no stranger to the 350z chassis as I knew it would be going to a good home, and if anything goes wrong, its a price where I think both of us (mainly him) are happy.

So its that my love affair with drifting over? … well lets hold on a moment because i have a car tucked away some of you may have forgotten about. Its time to give the Silvia S15 some love!

But thats isnt the only car going to be getting some work.. But lets focus on that right this moment because I finally go to take it out of storage and what a moment that was! Hearing that DY Built SR20 Fire up for the first time in a long time, watching the Link AIM dash light up, really got me buzzing to get back on this thing!

I also pulled another car out of storage and into the main unit recently.

The EG6 has been hibernating for a while. Mainly due to these other project distractions my ADHD wont allow me to break free from (Properly diagnosed now by the way, no longer just speculation lol) but i knew that this car would come back when my heart told me it would. & Now is that time, a few weeks ago I ended up taking the cover off just to look at it, seeing spiders taking over the wheels as their home & seeing some rusty stuff appearing under the bonnet I decided now was the time to at least get out and give it a wash right?

Well that Sunday East Coast Japanese was hosting a meet, so after washing it I messaged Morgan about bringing his RX7 up with me.

All the love I received about the Civic at the meet was unreal, giving even more momentum to the little voice in my head! Full steam ahead….

But i just wanted to close the 350z Chapter here and now. We are back on the builds, I am ordering & buying parts for all the cars, im excited !

Thanks for reading

Adam
